A motorcyclist was killed in the course of the Kells highway races immediately after an incident on the Supersport race.
The early 20-year-old man from Northern Eire was pronounced useless on the scene.
The race at Crossakiel circuit in Co Meath was the primary nationwide motorbike highway race in Eire since 2019, with occasions for the previous two years having been canceled resulting from Covid.
In a press release, the Gardaí mentioned emergency providers visited the scene of a collision involving a single automobile at a closed circuit in Crossakiel, Co Meath this afternoon.
“The collision occurred round 1:30 p.m. and concerned a motorcyclist,” the pressure mentioned.
“The motorcyclist, a person in his early 20s, was pronounced useless on the scene. His physique was taken to Navan Hospital.”
North Meath Highway Races Ltd Membership declined to remark, solely to say a press release could be launched at a later date.
