Sunday’s annual memorial 5K at Phoenix Park shall be devoted to the reminiscence of legendary Kerry sports activities author and journalist Con Houlihan.
A 5K run or stroll is held annually for contributors to have a good time the lives of family members who’ve handed away – with a digital wall of reminiscences put in so individuals can share their family members’ names and reminiscences together with music.
“I consider all of us have a primal want/need to be remembered fondly – even in small methods,” stated Remembrance Run 5K founder Frank Greally.
“I believe it is a becoming tribute to the reminiscence of Con Houlihan – considered one of our nice Irish writers.”
Mr Houlilan, a local of Castleisland, Co Kerry, whose profession spanned six many years, died on 4 August 2012 aged 86.
His many associates and former colleagues gathered at The Decrease Deck Pub in Portobello, Dublin to share music and tales to mark his tenth anniversary.
