A never-before-seen photograph displaying the Queen’s handwriting was first shared by Jenny Hanley, a former Bond Woman and radio host.
Mrs. Hanley’s grandparents, Lisa and Jimmy Sheridan, ran Studio Lisa and took photos of the… Royal household for 3 generations.
Lisa Sheridan took the black and white photograph, which additionally reveals the “scribbled” handwriting of the younger monarch.
The photograph, taken in 1942, reveals then-Princess Elizabeth in a Girlguiding uniform, a company she joined in 1937 on the age of 11.
On her Saturday afternoon radio present, Ms. Hanley shared recollections of her grandparents and their experiences with the royal household.
She stated: “Final Saturday would have been my mom’s birthday, so I, like so many different individuals, whether or not monarchists or not, will unashamedly share recollections, each private and historic – plus, after all, play songs to cheer us up and to maintain going.
“In my present I will discuss an exquisite photograph of Her Majesty as Woman Information.
“My grandmother Lisa Sheridan had taken the photograph and he or she despatched it to the palace and wrote that as a result of it was in black and white, ‘can somebody please inform me what the colour was of the insignia the princess was carrying’.
And a letter got here again together with the photograph with annotations on it from Windsor Fort of Princesses Elizabeth and Margaret’s Governess Marion Crawford, nicknamed Crawfie by the Princesses, saying ‘hooked up are the information research.
“My grandmother had an exquisite sense of humour, which I believe is why she bought alongside so properly with the Duke and Duchess after they first began taking photos of the Royal Household.
“They have been the primary to take the relaxed household images of the royal household, and that set the precedent for the images we see right now.
“However they have been all the time taken with respect. The images have been introduced to the palace and the Duke and Duchess, after which the Queen, would take a look at them and provides permission or not.
“After which they turned Her Majesty The Queen and Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by appointment. They’d their ‘by appointment’ badges outdoors their house in Welwyn Backyard Metropolis. It was an amazing honor.”
